On Monday evening, a storm passed quickly through the area prompting several emergency responses.
Just before 6 PM, RFC was dispatched to assist the Berwyn Fire Company at the Old Forge Crossing Apartments on Valley Forge Road on a building fire. The response also brought Paoli and Upper Merion Fire apparatus to the scene.
Chief 15, Deputy 15, Quint 15 and Engine 15 made the response.
Before RFC apparatus reached the scene, Berwyn was dispatched to a second emergency on Swedesford Road for smoke in the building. Deputy 15 and Engine 15 diverted to Swedesford Road to cover the call. Paoli and East Whiteland were also sent to the scene.
Chief 15 and Quint 15 arrived at Old Forge and were quickly reassigned to respond to Swedesford Road with the Deputy and Engine.
The issue on Swedesford was quickly resolved and RFC apparatus cleared the scene.
As apparatus was returning to Radnor, a call came in for a tree on a house on Chamounix Circle. Crews arrived and gained access to the house to assess any compromising damage to the utilities.
Crews cleared the scene within thirty minutes and returned to the firehouse for the weekly training session.
