| Arkema, Inc., headquartered in Radnor, sponsored two RFC firefighters to join in their "Industrial Response Training for Municipal Firefighters" training, held at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
Firefighters Alex Valeri and Jack Whitehead were chosen to take part in this training and flew to Texas at the end of January for the three-day class.
Training included foam types, foam application techniques, equipment education, foam nozzles and adjustable fog nozzles. The use of portable and fixed monitors were used for cooling applications which can also be used for capture and control of the fires.
Students learned the importance of multiple hose line coordination and teamwork as well as water pattern techniques were an integral part of the training.
Both Alex and Jack expressed the value of the lessons they learned.
Thank you to Arkema for including RFC personnel in this experience. |
