Shortly after 9:30 PM, RFC and and engine from Berwyn Fire Company were dispatched to Red Fox Lane in Tredyffrin for a house fire. The caller indicated that the living room was on fire. Chief 15 arrived, observed a heavy smoke condition inside the house and established Red Fox Command. Quint 15 arrived on location and the crew was instructed to take an 1 3/4" line to the rear of the house. Crews encountered heavy smoke and reported seeing a small fire inside. The fire was doused quickly and the process of ventilation was started. Once the house was clear of smoke, the Tredyffrin Fire Investigator documented the scene. Once he was done with his investigation, crews used a power saw to cut out part of the floor which had burned. Chief 15 requested the Tredyffrin Township road crew to salt the road for ice from the hose line. Crews cleared the scene within the hour to return to the firehouse to clean equipment and re-pack hose. There were no injuries.
