At 4:30 this afternoon, RFC Fire and EMS, along with Broomall Fire Company and Marple EMS, were dispatched to mile marker 12.5 southbound (south of Lancaster Avenue) for a crash with entrapment.
RFC crews arrived in the area with no incident found.
Chief 15 held the apparatus at the turn around while he headed back to check north of Lancaster Avenue. Chief 15 found the crash at 13.5 southbound on the right shoulder.
All staged apparatus proceeded to the scene.
Once on location, crews deployed rescue tools to remove doors on the car to gain access to the sole occupant of the car.
After the patient was extricated, RFC EMS transported the driver to Paoli Hospital.
Crews remained on location until PSP arrived.
