Delaware County implemented the new P25 radio system at 10:00 this morning.
This system has been in the planning stage for the past couple of years and should improve our overall radio communications.
This morning, RFC was dispatched to a call on a low band frequency, responded on the 500 MHz system (Legacy System) and ended the incident on the new P25 radio system. According to the county, we were the first fire company in the county to operate on 800.
FF/Medic Lotz had the first radio transmission on the new system on an call after going live.
