| The Radnor Fire Company assisted by the Berwyn Fire Company, responded to the 100 block of North Wayne Avenue for a reported building fire at 10:58 p.m. Radnor Engine 15-1 arrived to find that the restaurant had been evacuated and there was a smoke condition inside the dining room area. Crews were assigned to the interior, as well as, the roof of the building to investigate the source of the smoke. Within minutes, the roof crew discovered that a motor for the air handling system had caught fire and burned up. The unit was disconnected which removed the hazard. Firefighters were on the scene for less than thirty minutes. The restaurant was able to open back up for business the following day. |
