| The latest round of snow kept Radnor Fire and EMS personnel busy. A total of 25 calls were handled in Radnor and Tredyffrin Townships in a 48 hour period. Radnor firefighters assisted the Berwyn Fire Company with two significant building fires in Chesterbrook and the Old Forge Crossing Condominium complex in Tredyffrin. No civilians were injured in either fire, but one firefighter was treated for a medical related problem and later released. The total damages from both fires was estimated at nearly $300,000. The Radnor Fire Company would like to remind residents to stay away from downed power lines and fires involving power lines. If you see caution tape, barricades in place, these are there for your protection. During the winter months heavy wet snow and ice increase the chances for these types of problems to arise. The following is a brief summary of the incidents that were responded to during the weekend. December 14th Call Log 1.) 12:50 p.m. 500 block County Line Road, Radnor - Fire Alarm December 15th Call Log 1.) 12:43 a.m. 500 block Chandler Lane, Radnor - Trees & Wires |
