| At 2:54 PM, shortly after returning to the firehouse from an automatic alarm call, RFC Fire and EMS, along with Broomall Fire Company and Marple EMS, were dispatched to mile marker 11.6 southbound for a multi vehicle crash with injuries.
Arriving units found a four vehicle crash, with one vehicle under a trailer, in the middle and left lanes of the highway. All occupants had already exited their vehicles and were off to the side of the highway.
Fire crews blocked lanes so EMS providers could evaluate the people involved. Fire crews also spread oil dry to absorb the fluids on the roadway.
EMS transported two people to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
RFC stood by until the tow truck removed the one car under the trailer.
Crews were on scene for over an hour before returning to the firehouse. |
