At 12:13 AM on Wednesday, May 13th, Radnor Fire Company was dispatched to the 800 block of Lesley Road in Radnor Township for a building fire, reported to be the attic. Radnor Township Police officers arrived shortly after dispatch and reported heavy fire through the roof of a large 2 ½ story single family residence with all occupants accounted for outside the house. This information was relayed to the responding Radnor Fire Company chief and apparatus which prompted a working fire dispatch, bringing additional fire companies to the scene. First arriving firefighters began an interior attack. Additional arriving firefighters joined the first crew inside and began pulling ceilings to attack the fire. Due to the size of the fire, a second alarm was dispatched which brought additional firefighters and apparatus to the scene. The incident grew to a third alarm before it was placed under control.. The fire was declared under control around 2 AM. Firefighters remained on scene until after 5 AM. Fire companies from Delaware County, Chester County and Montgomery County responded to the scene with approximately 100 firefighters. There were no citizen or firefighter injuries. The fire is being investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal, Radnor Township Police Department and the Radnor Township Fire Marshal.
