| At approximately 9:30 this morning, RFC was dispatched to Eastern University, by the softball field, for an older man stuck up to his hips in the marsh next to the pond.
Fireboard started the USAR team from Upper Darby FD for assistance.
RFC units arrived and confirmed the initial report.
Crews deployed an extension ladder and laid it on the ground next to the trapped subject. Firefighters were able to access the man and assisted him from the swampy ground.
Upper Darby USAR was recalled.
The subject was walked to dry ground where he was evaluated by EMS and released from the scene.
RFC cleared the scene within twenty-five minutes. |
