Radnor Fire/EMS Stay Busy

The Radnor Fire Company has responded to nearly 1,600 fire/EMS incidents this year. This includes the handling of structure fires, medical emergencies, motor vehicle collisions, fuel spills, fire alarms and other types of incidents.

The following photographs are from recent incidents that were mitigated by Radnor firefighters, EMTs and Paramedics.
 
On Tuesday, June 24 at 4:11 p.m., Radnor units responded to I-476 Southbound at Milemarker 12.4 for a motor vehicle collision. The two occupants escaped injury. Firefighters remained on scene until the vehicle was uprighted.

On Sunday, June 29th at 7:55 p.m., Radnor units responded to the 300 block of Iven Ave., for a motor vehicle collision. The driver had to be extricated with the Jaws of Life and was transported to Paoli Hosptial.

On Thursday, June 19th at 6:17 p.m., Radnor units responded to the 1300 block of Eagle Road for a tree down with power lines on fire. The roadway was closed and PECO was notified to respond.

On Friday, June 27th at 8:36 a.m., Radnor units responded to the area of I-476 and I-76 for an overturned tractor trailer. George Clay Fire Company also responded. Due to hazardous materials being carried on the truck, personnel remained on location for several hours until the tractor-trailer could be removed.
