At approximately 1300 hours this afternoon, RFC was dispatched to a reported garage fire on Seton Ross Road in Tredyffrin Township.
Along with RFC, Berwyn Fire Company, Upper Merion Fire Department and Newtown Square Fire Company (for the RIT assignment) were dispatched to assist.
Deputy 15 arrived on location and found a two car, one and a half story garage fully involved, with brush, mulch and a nearby tree also burning.
The engine from UMFD arrived and and an 1 3/4" line was stretched up the driveway. As additional units arrived, a 5" supply line was hand jacked to a hydrant 150' away. A second 1 3/4" line was then placed in service.
Firefighters knocked down the fire and began to overhaul the interior of the garage.
The Chester County Assistant Fire Marshal arrived and began his investigation.
All crews cleared the scene within two hours.
Thanks to our neighboring departments for their assistance.
