On Friday at 10:57 AM, RFC was dispatched to the Radnor Elementary School on Matsonford Road. Assistant 15B arrived to a report of smoke on the first floor. The assignment was upgraded to a building response which brought the whole company from Radnor and an additional engine from Bryn Mawr.
Crews stretched a line inside and located the source of the smoke which was coming from the mechanical system in the ceiling. The unit was shut down and no additional issues were found. The Bryn Mawr engine was cancelled.
RFC crews set up several PPV fans in the building to remove all of the smoke.
Crews returned to the firehouse within an hour.
