Crews started assembling at the firehouse at 1 PM on Tuesday in preparation for the rain and wind storm predicted by weather forecasters.

Delaware County held a Zoom meeting with the county fire chiefs to make sure that all fire departments were aware of the resources available to them.

In the station, RFC personnel gathered water rescue equipment and were assigned to various pieces of equipment for a quick response.
Around 5 PM, crews had to stop preparations to respond to the Blue Route for a reported crash with injuries.
The first storm related call occurred at 7:47 PM for a tree and wires down and blocking the road on Eagle Road. Over the next several hours, crews responded to trees and wires down, a water rescue, a tree through the house in Villanova, a building fire investigation involving arcing wires, an assist to Berwyn Fire Company on a structure fire, as well as, automatic fire alarms and carbon monoxide alarms.
Calls started to slow down after the crews returned to the firehouse from a wires call at 2:15 AM. After a short rest, RFC was dispatched to a carbon monoxide call on North Aberdeen at 5 AM.

In all, twenty-two emergency calls were handled by twenty-one volunteers and career staff.
