On Veterans Day in 1996, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund unveiled a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., designed to travel to communities in the United States. The traveling exhibit provides thousands of veterans who have been unable to cope with the prospect of facing The Wall to find the strength and courage to do so within their own communities. On Tuesday, the "Wall That Heals" procession started from the Kimberton Fire Company and traveled through Chester County, passing through Valley Forge Park along the way. Radnor Fire Company's Quint 15 joined with Paoli Fire Company's Tower 3 to form a ladder arch on Gulph Road in Valley Forge National Park. The American flag was hung over the roadway for the procession to pass under. Numerous fire trucks, police vehicles and veterans on motorcycles took part in the event on their way through the county. We salute all of our veterans.
