On Wednesday, March 15th, around 4:50 PM, RFC was dispatched to Lancaster Avenue in the area of the high school for a vehicle fire. The caller reported flames coming from under the vehicle.
DC15, Squad 15 and Chief 15 arrived to find a vehicle well involved on the southbound off ramp from I-476 to Lancaster Avenue.
The Squad crew stretched an 1 3/4" line and attacked the fire which involved a ruptured gasoline line under the car.
Engine 15 arrived and fed their water to the Squad.
Tac 15 arrived with additional personnel.
The crews returned within an hour to the firehouse where the various lines and tools were cleaned and replaced on the Squad.
