Drill on Monday, February 27th, was preparing the new Squad to be placed in service.
Members loaded 5" line, placed new tools (rescue and fire tools) in various compartments and transferred various tools, hose adapters and appliances from the old squad to the new one.
When the drill ended, the Squad was placed in service.
Several months had passed since the squad arrived on station to await the equipment which had been ordered for it. Supply chain issues, which were attributed to the COVID-19 crisis, slowed down the process, but it was worth the wait.
The Squad responded to its' first call early the next morning to the Blue Route. and the following day, it responded to a fire in a garage on Wyndom Lane where the booster line was deployed.
