By Chief Joe Maguire
February 21, 2023
On Tuesday morning, February 21st, representatives from the Department of Health and Pennsylvania Fish and Boat met at RFC to inspect the water rescue equipment for Type 3A level certification. This has followed months of training and equipment purchases to bring us to a level where we could help make the community we serve, and our neighbors, safer during incidents of inclement weather. All equipment was presented to the reps, as well as, the documentation for all of the firefighters who are part of the team. RFC passed the inspection and was presented with the seals to identify the apparatus. RFC is the second certified swift water team in Delaware County. Special thanks to Deputy Chief Michael Maguire, Firefighter/Medic William Elder and Firefighter/EMT Andrew Gable who worked hard make sure we were ready for the inspection and certification.
