Saturday, August 27th, was a busy day for the RFC firefighters.
The morning started off around 6:30 AM with a house fire in Villanova, keeping firefighters on location for two hours.
Later in the morning, a crew took the antique Mack to Uwchlan Ambulance Corps "Heroes and Horsepower" event held at the Ludwig's Corner Show Grounds. The Mack came away from the event with a trophy for best in its' class.
Crews also took Squad 15 and the MICU to Highland Avenue for the annual "Unity in the Community" gathering. The Squad and MICU were on display for the neighbors to view. RFC members mingled among the crowd, answering questions and talking about the fire company.
Firefighters had filled a dunk tank on location earlier in the morning in which an RTPD officer was to be "dunked"
At the urging of the children, FF Chris Totaro took his place on the board on the tank and was cooled down on the hot day.
Lastly, Deputy 15 and Engine 15 traveled to the Modena Fire Company in Chester County to participate in a parade and housing ceremony celebrating their 100th anniversary.
