Five members of Radnor Fire Company flew to the Pierce Manufacturing Plant in Appleton, Wisconsin this week to do the final inspection on the new Squad 15.
The representatives of the Specifications Committee (Deputy Chief Mike Maguire, 1st assistant Ryan Maguire, 2nd Assistant Paul Leighton, Rodney Byrd and Chris Totaro) went over the truck from top to bottom to make sure it met everything in the specifications that were drawn by the committee.
Once this is completed, a Pierce employee will drive the engine from Wisconsin to Radnor Fire Company.
The truck will remain at RFC for a week or so and then sent to a local plant to have all of the equipment mounted.
We hope to have the truck in service by the Fall.
