On July 10th just before 7 PM, Radnor Fire Company was dispatched to the area of Eastern University on Eagle Road for wires down and arcing in the road. Chief 15 and Tac 15 arrived on the west side of the wires and closed the road. RTPD came in from the other direction and did the same. PECO was notified to respond. At the same time, Radnor Fire Company was dispatched for Quint 15 to assist the Upper Merion Fire Department for smoke in the building at Sullivan’s Steak House. When the Quint cleared Upper Merion, they responded to Eagle Road to stand by at the wires call. Once PECO arrived and shut off the power to the downed line, RFC used tank water from the Tac and Quint to cool down the bubbling asphalt.
