WAYNE, PA - On Sunday, October 3rd at 3:20 p.m., Radnor Fire Company, with assistance from the Bryn Mawr Fire Company, was dispatched to the Blue Route, mile marker 14.1 southbound for a vehicle fire.

Chief 15 arrived to find a vehicle well involved. Squad 15 arrived shortly after and deployed an 1 3/4" hoseline. Crews opened up the engine compartment and the trunk using a rescue tool and attacked the fire.

Bryn Mawr Squad 23 arrived and was requested to supply their water to Squad 15. Crews extinguished the fire and returned to their respective firehouses within an hour.

The Radnor Township Police Department was on location and provided traffic control, as well as, transporting the occupants of the vehicle to a safe place off of the highway.
