RFC Rescue Response to Newtown Township

WAYNE, PA - On Saturday, May 1st at 2:42 p.m. in the afternoon, Radnor Fire Company was dispatched to the area of Waters Edge in Newtown Township for a rescue. Police officers on location reported that a subject had fallen down a ravine and was unable to be removed without assistance.

Chief 15 and Rescue 15 responded and set-up a rope system and lowered a crew member and the Stokes basket to the subject. Rescuers were able to lift them back to the roadway where they were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Radnor Fire Company was covering for Newtown Square Fire Company as they were committed to a working fire in Middletown Township.
