WAYNE, PA - On Tuesday, March 30th at 2:38 p.m., Radnor Fire Company was dispatched to the area of 1300 Eagle Road in Radnor Township for a brush fire. While enroute, an updated report indicated that a truck had taken down power lines which started the fire.

Chief 15 arrived on location with a brush fire on both sides of the roadway, extending up a hill. At the same time, Radnor Police reported that a truck on the other side of the incident had power lines laying on top of the truck. Tac 15 was directed to the brush fire and Engine 15 was sent to the truck. An engine from Berwyn Fire Company was requested to assist the Tac with the fire and Squad 15 backed up Engine 15.

After PECO arrived on location, power was shut down and the occupant of the truck was safely removed without injury. Approximately 1,200 gallons of water was used to extinguish the fire and crews cleared the scene shortly before 4 p.m.
