Radnor Firefighters Respond to Blue Route Car Fire

WAYNE, PA - On Saturday, October 3rd at 3:06 p.m., Radnor Fire Company was dispatched to the Blue Route, mile marker 13.5, for a vehicle fire. While enroute, the Delaware County 9-1-1- Center reported several callers reporting the fire.

Upon arrival, Chief 15 and Squad 15 encountered a passenger vehicle engulfed in flames on the left shoulder of the highway. The crew from Squad 15 deployed a hoseline and extinguished the fire.

The Bryn Mawr Fire Company was requested to respond to assist with water supply. All firefighters cleared the scene by 4 p.m. and the scene was turned over to the Pennsylvania State Police.

Radnor first responders handled 15 fire/EMS calls over the weekend, which included a motor vehicle collision, car fire, and multiple medical emergencies.
