Wayne, PA -- Radnor Fire Company volunteers resumed weekly, in-person training drills Monday night, holding the company's first formal, hands-on training night since March 16, at the outset of the current COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

Volunteer firefighters from Company 15, supported by career staff EMT/firefighters, practiced working with the company's new MSA self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) equipment while climbing Quint-15's ladder at the Radnor Corporate Center garage. Proper social distancing, mask protection and constant wiping down of equipment and materials with disinfectant was employed throughout the drill.

While fire and rescue call volume dropped off considerably for Radnor Fire Company during early stages of the current pandemic, storms and return to daily activity throughout the township has brought fire and rescue call numbers back to normal averages.

Volunteers Needed: Radnor Fire Company is a combination department and needs community support and participation for its volunteer ranks. Members of the community are encouraged to volunteer by visiting our website at www.joinradnorfireems.com. Step Up. Stand Out. Save Lives!
