To ensure the safety of all blood donors and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, the American Red Cross has implemented a number of important new procedures. Many donors may also have questions about donating blood after receiving one or two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. The new COVID-19 blood donation and post-vaccination guidelines implemented by the American Red Cross are below. If you have specific questions about these regulations, you can contact the American Red Cross Donor Client Support Center at 1-866-236-3276. You can also visit https://redcrossblood.org/Covid19 for the most up-to-date guidance from the Red Cross.
In honor of the 10th annual blood drive in Radnor Township, Michelle A. Scolnick, Founder, is proud to announce the “10 for 10” Community CHAllenge! The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in an ongoing, critical need for blood donations, as many blood drives that typically run at high schools, colleges, and businesses have been canceled or greatly reduced in size. This blood drive will provide an opportunity to ensure that blood products will be available for patients who need them in the late spring and early summer months.
