Wayne, Pa. -- Radnor Fire Company and local mutual aid companies were dispatched at 9:26 Tuesday evening to reports of an accident with injury on I476 South in the area of County Line Road.

Bryn Mawr Fire Company, Narberth Ambulance, and Radnor's MICU 15 and Chief 15 were first on scene and confirmed a one vehicle accident with a passenger entrapped in the rear seat of a minivan. Other occupants appeared to self extract from the vehicle.

Rescue 15 and Engine 15 were next on scene as crews worked together with hydraulic tools to remove the rear hatchback of the minivan as well as the rear roof to enable medical personnel access to the patient. The passenger was removed from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital.

I476 Southbound was closed to traffic by Deputy 15 and Plymouth Fire Police for a short period of time while crews removed the patient, cut portions of a guard rail damaged in the crash, and cleared the highway from debris.

Crews were cleared from the scene by 10:15 P.M.
