| The Radnor Fire Company attended the 11th Annual Upper Main Line YMCA Emergency Services Day in Berwyn. This is one of the largest emergency services educational events that occur on the Main Line during the summer.
Radnor Ambulance 15-7B was on display during the 90 minute afternoon event that educated nearly 400 children on the role of emergency services in their community. The crew was able to show the curious campers how patients are taken care of in the Ambulance and how all the medical equipment helps to save lives.
The campers also got to watch a vehicle rescue demonstration, learned how to use a fire extinguisher, and toured a myriad of emergency vehicles as part of the events activities.
This event involved a dozen agencies from the area that included Radnor Fire Co., Berwyn Fire Co., Paoli Fire Co., Malvern Fire Co., Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Co., East Whiteland Volunteer Fire Assoc., Chester County Communications Unit, Chester County Haz-Mat Team, Tredyffrin Twp. Police Dept., and the Easttown Twp. Police Dept. |
