The Officers and Members of the Radnor Fire Company regret to announce the passing of Director and EMT Peter L. Osgood.

Pete joined Radnor Fire Company in July of 1994 as a Firefighter and then as an EMT in February 1995. Pete served our community for just over 25 years.

Pete was a highly dedicated member of the Company. He was an integral part of the Board of Directors, taking on many of the more difficult tasks behind the scenes including writing and negotiating the first contract with our career staff.

On top of all the administrative tasks Pete tackled, he was one of our most dedicated EMS members. For as long as anyone can remember, Thursday night evening shifts belonged to Pete. If Pete wasn’t sitting in the Ready Room at 6:50pm on a Thursday, that meant he was either on vacation with his family or busy with his full-time career. Pete’s compassion for the residents of Radnor and Tredyffrin Townships showed through his high-quality patient care and professionalism on our Ambulance. Pete was always willing to precept new members and share his knowledge and experience.

Pete also previously volunteered with Berwyn Fire Company and The University of Delaware Emergency Care unit while studying there.

Pete was President of the RPI Company, a Construction and Property Maintenance company.

Pete had a heart of gold. He will be remembered for his dedication to RFC, his amazing sense of humor and a booming laugh that could warm even a stranger’s soul. We will miss him dearly and will never forget him. Pete is survived by his loving wife Jennifer and beautiful daughters Kaitlyn and Emily and his parents Judy and John and his dog Tilly. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Pete, we love you and thank you for your dedication. We are all better people for knowing you and you enriched each of our lives. Rest easy brother, we will take it from here.

Relatives, friends and members of the Radnor Fire Company are invited to visit the family Tuesday, February 19, 2019 6:00-9:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 W. Lancaster Avenue, Wayne, PA (610) 989-9600. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. John Episcopal Church, 576 Concord Road, Glen Mills, PA.
