Area flash floods on Monday morning stranded rush hour motorists on I476 Northbound at Sproul Road, prompting rescue calls for Radnor Fire Company. Both fire and ems crews from Radnor and Broomall fire companies responded to several stranded drivers shortly after 8:00 a.m.

Rescue crews extricated passengers whose cars had flooded. Drivers were made comfortable in MICU 15 until Pennsylvania State Police arrived.

All crews and apparatus were cleared and made available before 9 a.m.
