Radnor Fire Company Handles I-476 Rush Hour Brush Fire

Radnor Fire Company responded to a rush hour brush fire on I-476 southbound Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters were called on at 4:23 p.m. Tuesday to reports of brush fires on the shoulder of the Blue Route near Montgomery Avenue and the County Line Road overpass.

Chief 15, Engine 15, Engine 15-1 and Squad 15 responded with multiple firefighters. George Clay Fire Department assisted with Squad 39. Traffic on I-476 southbound was briefly stopped and firefighters made quick work of multiple brush fires stretching about 300 yards along the highway.

Traffic was reopened and all crews were cleared at approximately 5 p.m.
