Radnor EMS Crews Respond To Multiple Car Pile Up on Schuylkill Expressway

Radnor EMS Crews were quick to respond Saturday morning as a dusting of snow in the Philadelphia area caused a 40+ car accident on the Schuylkill Expressway in Gladwyne. Radnor Ambulance 15-7A was on scene providing assistance on I-76 westbound in Conshohocken as the accident closed all lanes between Exit 332 for PA23 and Exit337 for Gladwyne.

Radnor EMS crews responded with numerous Montgomery Country resources and assisted with removing people from vehicles and safely guiding them over the center road barriers to other awaiting EMS units.

According to local news reports, a dispatcher with the Pennsylvania State Police in Philadelphia described westbound I-76 as a "bumper car show," with multiple accidents and multiple EMS vehicles on the scene from the Belmont to Gulph Mills exits. According to Pennsylvania State Police, units responded to at least 15 accidents in the region.

No serious injuries were reported.
