At 11:47 hours the residential street assignment was struck for the unit block of Lindbergh Ave in Marple Township. On the assignment was a number of companies including Ladder-15. While enroute crews from Broomall found a working fire in the basement extending into the upper floors. The 2nd alarm was transmitted adding a full company response from 15. Crews from numerous companies in Delaware County including Ladder-15, Squad-15, 15-1 and Rescue-15 spent most of the afternoon using exterior operations to knock down a majority of the fire. Numerous handlines were in-service including a few blitz fires. One firefighter from Radnor was transported to BMH for minor injuries. He is home doing well and resting up. Good job to all on this unseasonably warm day. The list of companies at this day time fire was very extensive. Good job to all.
