At 10:00 hours the rescue assignment was dispatched calling for Company 15 and Montgomery County Station 23 (Bryn Mawr) for an accident with entrapment. Chief Kelly (15-9) responded and was advised of a single occupant trapped inside the vehicle. 15-9 arrived to find a mini-van up against a tree with the driver pinned by the dashboard. Squad-15 arrived and began to stabilize the vehicle. Rescue-15 and Squad-23 arrived shortly thereafter and assisted with the removal of the victim. After removing the door and pushing the dashboard off the victims legs the patient was turned over to EMS. Pennstar was requested to fly and landed nearby at the Radnor High School. All units were clear by 10:51 hours.
