Engine 15-3

Engine 15-3

Engine 15-3 is a 1996 E-One Cyclone 1500 gallon-per-minute single stage pumper with a 500-gallon booster tank. It carries 1200 feet of five inch supply line, 600 feet of 2 ½” hose, and 800 feet of 1 ¾ inch attack line. It has five preconnected attack lines, one at the front of the truck, two mid-truck and two at the rear to provide preconnected lines to any point regardless of how the truck is positioned.

It has a 7500-watt on-board generator, two 1500-watt floodlights which can immediately illuminate a fire scene in order that the firefighters work is safely conducted at night.

The three of the four ladders carried on this truck are on a ladder rack, which lowers to a position where the firefighters can easily remove the ladders for service.

It also carries a positive pressure fan, which the firefighters can utilize to remove smoke conditions from a building in a short amount of time.

This pumper is also designed to be a stand-alone first-due attack pumper and rotates monthly with Engine 15-1 in that capacity.

It carries four firefighters, an officer and an engineer/driver in a climate-controlled fully enclosed cab. Each firefighter has his or her own self-contained breathing apparatus (all of Radnor’s trucks are designed as such).
