WAYNE, PA - The 8th annual blood drive in the memory of Carol H. Axelrod will be held on Tuesday, May 7th from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Radnor Township Municipal Building - Radnorshire Room. The Township building is located at 301 Iven Avenue in Wayne, PA 19087.

For every unit of blood collected, Carol's family will make donations to the Radnor Fire Company (Fire & EMS) and the Wayne Senior Center; if the blood drive collection surpasses last year's total of 168 units, these donations will be doubled! To schedule a donation appointment, please check out the information below for new and returning donors. To ensure short wait times, appointments are strongly encouraged!

If you are a first-time blood donor, we encourage you to read this information about the donation process and how to prepare for your donation. Please don't hesitate to contact us at if you have any questions.

All donors must read informational materials and complete a health history questionnaire before donating blood. If you would like to make your donation experience faster, you can access these materials through RapidPass on the American Red Cross website before you arrive at the drive. RapidPass allows donors to complete their pre-reading and donation questions online from the comfort and privacy of their home or office. If you choose not to use RapidPass, you will be able to complete your reading and health history when you arrive at the blood drive.

If you wish to utilize RapidPass (on a mobile device or laptop/desktop computer):

1. Visit
2. Read the information
3. Answer the questions
4. Print, save, or email the pass so that you can display it when you arrive at the blood drive. (Please note that you MUST have your pass when you come to donate, or you will be asked to complete the questions again.)
