On October 21, 2015, Radnor Fire Company EMS was recognized under the Pediatric Volunteer Recognition Program at the Masters level. The program is nationally-recognized and voluntary in nature. It is a join venture between the Pennsylvania Department of Health Bureau of EMS and the Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services County EMS for Children Program.

The Pennsylvania EMS for children website states:

"74,350 children were transported via ambulance in Pennsylvania in 2012 -- that's one transport every 7 minutes! In order to ensure that EMS agencies are prepared for pediatric patients, the Pediatric Voluntary Recognition Program (PVRP) was created by the EMS for Children program, in partnership with the Pennsyvlania Department of Health, Bureau of EMS. This is a multi-phase recognition program for EMS agencies who wish to establish programs and standards to improve their capabilities to deliver care to pediatrics. Participation in the program is entirely voluntary."

The Basic Level of Recognition relates to pediatric specific equipment on ambulances as well as EMS assessment participation.

The Intermediate Level of Recognition requires an EMS agency to have its providers obtain clearances from ChildLine.

The Advanced Level of Recognition requires each provider obtain a minimum of four (4) hours of continuing education on pediatrics yearly.

The Masters Level of Recognition requires pediatric outreach. This includes education, injury prevention initiatives and other outreach in the community.
