Radnor Fire Company thanks the Delaware County Emergency Services 911 Center and staff for hosting Radnor Fire Company this week for our weekly crew drill night.

The Center's drill night sessions provide an opportunity for public safety agencies like RFC to learn more about the services they provide to support first responders. RFC crews met with the Center's staff and reviewed equipment with key staff from their Communications, Special Operations, USAR, and Hazardous Materials Units and took a tour the communications center.

For Radnor Fire Company, the site visit provided an opportunity for fire and EMS crews to better understand the many tools and support equipment available to RFC and Delaware County first responders when dealing with a variety of emergency incidents including HAZMAT, fire, flood and traffic incidents.

For RFC crews, the ability to see how the 911 call center is set-up and staffed is critical to understanding communications and prioritization of how emergency calls are handled and dispatched.

The Delaware County Emergency Services Center has a similar program for community groups that wish to learn more about the Department of Emergency Services and the 911 center.
