Radnor Fire Company was dispatched late Thursday evening to a utility pole fire at the intersections of Upper Gulph and Old Eagle School Roads in Tredyffrin. Chief 15, Engine 15 and her crew arrived at 9:45 p.m. to find a utility pole on the east side of Old Eagle School Road fully involved.

PECO was immediately notified and firefighters cordoned off Old Eagle School from Upper Gulph south to Hillside Road. Local residents reported their cable tv was out of service due to the fire. There were no immediate reports of power outages despite the fire.

Once PECO arrived and shut down power to the pole, firefighters extinguished the fire. Engine 15 was cleared and crews were made available by 11:05 p.m.
