Radnor Fire Company's Engine 15 had the honor of leading today's local apparatus procession for the burial ceremony of Philadelphia Firefighter Lt. Matthew LeTourneau. Engine 15 and Radnor firefighters led hundreds of firefighters and apparatus from the five county Philly metro area, Maryland, New Jersey and beyond in the procession from Cardinal O'Hara High School to Sts Peter and Paul Cemetery where LeTourneau was laid to rest Friday afternoon.

Lt. LeTourneau succumbed to injuries sustained last Saturday after a structural collapse while fighting a residential fire in Philadelphia.

Lt. LeTourneau was a native of Delaware County and served as an instructor at the Delaware County Fire Academy. Matt was a trusted friend and outstanding instructor to many of our members and we will greatly miss him. The Officers and members of The Radnor Fire Company wish to express our most sincere condolences to Matt’s family, friends and colleagues.

The Philadelphia Fire Department announced it will posthumously promote LeTourneau to captain during a scheduled promotion day on Jan. 26.
