WAYNE, PA - The Radnor Fire Company was dispatched to a house fire in the 200 block of N. Aberdeen Ave in the Wayne section of Radnor Township at 6:33 a.m. An alert neighbor spotted the fire and called 9-1-1.

First arriving Radnor firefighters were met with fire showing from a 2nd floor bedroom. Crews worked quickly to bring the fire under control. The Berwyn Fire Company provided mutual aid assistance with Engine 2-3. Radnor Fire Chief Joseph Maguire was the incident commander for this incident. The Radnor Township Police Department and Radnor Township Fire Marshal are investigating the cause of the fire per standard protocol.

Thankfully the residence was unoccupied and no first responders were injured during the response. All firefighters and apparatus were clear of the scene before 9 a.m.

Special thanks to the Manoa Fire Company - Station 56 who stood by at RFC with Squad 56 in the event other calls were received in the area.
