Ambulance 15-7

Radnor Ambulance operates two comparably equipped Ford/Horton Type III Ambulances. Both are powered by Ford PowerStroke ® Diesel engines for maximum power and extended duty cycles. In addition to required Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support medical equipment, both vehicles are capable of radio communications with Chester, Delaware, & Montgomery counties for maximum interoperatability, and by cellular phone for contacting local hospital emergency departments. Self-contained breathing apparatus along with basic firefighting tools allow crewmembers to mitigate hazardous situations quickly.

This unit will soon be licensed as Mobile Intensive Care Units (MICU) as Radnor Ambulance begins ALS coverage in its primary response area. The ambulance was placed in service in the fall of 2010 replacing a 2004 Horton.
